I’m in the middle of an internet argument with some young Brits who insist that Lager is not beer. One goes so far as to say that lager has more commonality with Bulmer’s Cider than with ale.
I rejoice! While arguing on the internet is stupid, at least I know my role as a beer writer will always exist.

um, I’m pretty sure lager is beer. One may argue it’s value as a beer style, but I don’t see how one can say it isn’t a beer, or even worthy of being considered a beer.
