New York has awesome breweries. Tons of them. Wagner Valley Brewing, Sackett’s Harbor Brewing Company, Lake Placid Brewing Company, and many other fantastic places dedicated to this craft.
So why, when I sit in a 100-tap bar, smack-dab in the center of Upstate, can I only get beers from California?
Distribution for micros is a mess.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for anything to change there soon either. Mutual(?) discord between establishment and local distributors has caused the selection there to drop off dramatically. The good news for us is (and something ownership of this establishment apparently fails to recognize) that we can go to plenty of other places locally to get what we want. Sad really. I used to be a regular there.
